Florida is known as the theme park capital of the world, and benefits from an all year round warm climate. However, during the summer months, the heat may cause the occasional thunderstorm, usually in the late afternoon/early evening.

There is a lot more than just theme parks to enjoy, there are two coasts with beaches for everyone.

Near the Space Centre there's Fort Lauderdale, Daytona, and further south, Miami, not forgetting Cocoa Beach and it's nearby neighbour. The Gulf Coast has Tampa Bay, Clearwater Beach and St. Petersburg. all within easy driving distance.

Davenport is a new area of Orlando. close to the I4 and US192.

The theme parks are all within a 20 minute drive, the closest being Walt Disney World, which can be reached in just over 10 minutes.The furthest being Universal, a mere 20 minute drive away. In between you will find Seaworld,Discovery Cove and Wet n' Wild. There are various malls in Orlando are also within easy reach, the furthest no more than 25 minutes away. There are numerous attractions other than the big theme parks, such as Gatorland, Wonderworks and the many dinner shows available.

For the golfer there are lots of courses within a 15 minute drive from the villa, with the Jack Niclaus designed Champions Gate Golf Course a mere 5 minutes from the villa.

Not forgetting of course the food, with the us192 and International Drive in easy reach, you will be spoiled for choice when deciding what to eat!

Fly to Orlando - Sandy Ridge is 30 mins from the International Airport, 45 mins from Sanford Airport on the 417.

The villa is located from exit 58 of the I-4, a mere few minutes drive along the US 532 from Champions Gate.

Car hire is advised as local taxis have to be pre-booked.
